Self governing, the officers being elected by the mem-
bers from their ewn number and serving six months gratuitously.
There are various circles for secial and intellectual purposes.
Occupies a house expressly built for its use.
MARY CHANE NURSERY
Building in process of erection which will accommodate one
hundred children.
Provision also for laundry, sewing room and
domestic science quarters wher e women may receive instruction
in housekeeping, and a play roem for schocl children whose mothers
do not rea ch home until long after schocl hours.
Management will
be in charge of the Chicago Relief and Aid Society.
