In York, Maine, July 25th, Capt. PAUL LANG DON, aged 52 vears, endeared to all who knew him by the many excellent qualities of the head and heart,-kind, generous, and open bearted, it was his delight to see those around him hap- py, and though for several vears previous to his death, subject to a painful and distressing malady, he bore his sufferings with cheerfulness, and tried to diffuse around him enjoyment which he himself was often unable to share. As an afectionace hogband and father, a de- voted and generous friend, the benefactor of all who needed his kind offices, his loss is deeply deplored, and his memory will be long cher. ashed.
