This is a private Sanatorim for the treatment
of consumptives,1ocated at Pembroke, five miles from
Concord. It is owned by the Pembroke Sanatorium Com-
pany which was organized December 1,1901, and held its
first meeting in January 1902

The Sanatorium is built upon the open camp plan
with a c entral administration building, has accommoda-
tions for forty patients, and now has fifteen under treat-
ment, including ten state patients.
