of asking many studente, friends, and teschers what happens to them
when they look at various visual elements.
These responses are not
"averaged", instead all the different res ponses are given.
While
these rarely cover all the possible reactions -- no such completeness
is claimed for any part of this book -- the general trend is
indicated.
