What can we read in this picture? The expression is all that matters.
Since we ere all experts at reading character, situstion, and human
relations from facial expressions -- or the expressions people's
bodieea richly proclaim, it is a rich field. The photograph retains
an expression long enough to look at.
Surroundings are of strictly
secondary importance. The expression of suspi ci on igheither augnented
nor contrasted by the visusl vocabulary. Isolation of the head and
a sence of space is about all that happens compoeitionally.
