to Mr. and Mrs. Albert W. Dalke,
of 95 Wheeler St., by Col. Rob
ert S. Sumner, professor of mil
itary science at the university.
Their son, Spec. 4 Burton W.
Dalke, 20, an Army infantry-
man, was killed in fighting in
the Mekong Delta while serving
with the 9th Infantry Division.
The awards included three
Bronze Star medals for heroism
The citations listed two speci-
fic combat incidents in which
Spec. Dalke distinguished him-
self "in the highest tradition of
the military."
